This cabinet combines a newly made structure in Chinese toon wood (Chinese mahogany) with reclaimed antique panels set within three sliding glass doors.
Fragments of aged wood are preserved in their original form, creating a layered, almost landscape-like composition. At the centre, a pair of carved phoenix panels forms the focal point. In Eastern culture, the phoenix symbolises harmony, renewal, and balance — often associated with beauty and auspicious beginnings.
The sliding doors allow the cabinet to shift between display and concealment, while internal shelves make it practical for books, ceramics, or glassware.
