When we describe a piece as vintage or one-off, we mean that it is unique and not mass-produced — each piece is individual, with its own character and story.
Within this category, we use two terms to help explain how a piece has been made: Original Vintage and Reworked from Old Wood.
Original Vintage pieces are entirely original items from the past. The whole piece is an older object, preserved as it is. These pieces may show patina, surface marks or signs of age that reflect their history.
Pieces Reworked from Old Wood are newly designed pieces created using older furniture or architectural elements as the starting point and inspiration. These original components are thoughtfully combined with new wood or materials to form a new design. For example, an old carved wooden panel may be reused as cabinet doors, while the cabinet structure itself is newly made.
In short, all of our vintage and one-off pieces celebrate craftsmanship and materials with a past — whether preserved in their original form or reimagined in a new design.
