Nanmu Cabinet with Hand-Painted Porcelain Panel
Description
A refined cabinet combining traditional imagery with a clean, contemporary structure.
The central panel features a hand-painted porcelain plaque, inspired by the murals of Yongle Palace and painted by artisans in Jingdezhen. The soft colours and serene expression bring a quiet, almost contemplative presence to the piece.
The drawer front incorporates a vintage carved panel, adding depth and a subtle sense of history. The cabinet body is newly made in golden nanmu, known for its fine grain and warm tone.
Small in scale yet visually striking, it works beautifully as a statement piece on a console, shelf or bedside.
Materials
Reclaimed vintage hand-painted porcelain panels and carved wood panels / Nanmu wood
As the cabinet is crafted from solid wood, natural knots and variations in the grain are normal and contribute to the unique character of each piece.
Care Information
To maintain the beauty of the wood, avoid placing the cabinet in direct sunlight or near strong heat sources. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners.
A light application of beeswax polish from time to time can help nourish the wood and maintain its natural sheen.
