Lampshade
A softly gathered scrunchie-style lampshade, formed by gentle elastic gathers around the top of the frame. The silk falls naturally into relaxed folds, creating a light, cloud-like silhouette with a soft and informal elegance.
The lower edge is finished with a French-made decorative braid trim, carefully applied to frame the base of the shade. This delicate edging introduces a refined finishing detail and adds a subtle decorative border to the warm golden silk.
Because the fabric gathers naturally, each lampshade forms slightly different folds, making every piece subtly unique.
This lampshade is named after Hever Castle, one of the first places my husband and I visited together after we met. We fell in love with its beautiful daffodils walks.
All lampshades are handmade in England.

Fabrics
The pattern featured here is known as “Lan Gui Qi Fang” (兰桂齐芳) — literally meaning orchids and cassia blooming together. In traditional symbolism, orchids represent refinement, integrity and cultivated character, while cassia flowers are associated with honour, success and the flourishing of future generations.
Together, the motif conveys wishes for virtue, harmony and prosperity within the family.
Woven into warm golden silk, the floral forms emerge gradually as light moves across the surface, giving the lampshade a gentle luminous quality.

Measurements refer to the frame size. Each lampshade is supplied with a frame. All lampshades are made to order, with an estimated dispatch time of 2–3 weeks.
